This unit applies to educators working at a senior operational or leadership level. Work is undertaken collaboratively according to the philosophy of the service and involves providing guidance to others.

This unit includes:
• Developing guidelines that support positive and respectful interactions and behaviour in children;
• Observing and monitoring interactions and behaviour in children;
• Identifying challenging behaviours;
• Planning support for children;
• Implementing and evaluating a support plan; and
• Collaborating with all those involved in developing and implementing the plan.
